Q: Does this kit fit the newer 2017–2024 trucks?
A: No. The FD-4615 is for the 2011–2016 6.7L Powerstroke. Ford updated the filter housing for 2017+ models (requiring the FD-2133).
Q: Do I need a special tool to install the secondary filter?
A: The engine-mounted filter uses quick-connect lines. Be careful with the plastic clips! The frame-mounted filter requires a standard socket to unscrew the housing cap.
Q: How often should I drain the water separator?
A: While the filter change is every 15k–22k miles, Ford recommends draining the water separator monthly (or every oil change) using the yellow drain valve on the frame-mounted housing.
